Weekend Stuffs to Do
Oh Friday, how I love you so. I almost prefer Friday to the actual weekend because once Saturday hits, it might as well be Monday and what a disappointing weekend that was (Wow, that was depressing)!
Enough nonsense, it’s Friday and there’s so much to do in Houston this weekend. Here are a few things that look awesome to Bootown.
Friday – Farragut North from Black Theater Lab. This is the last weekend for this show and we’ve heard it’s awesome!
Saturday – Beer and beer making at Central Market. Wait free beer? Sold! Brooklyn Brewery will be there 2-4 giving a demonstration and samples.
Jaws is playing at River Oaks Theatre at midnight. When was the last time you saw Jaws? When was the last time you saw Richard Dreyfuss? I don’t know the answer to either of those questions.
Sunday – Houston Press’ Best Fest continues with food, music and probably a lot of beer. We’re digging the Sunday line-up. Wild Moccasins, Deer Tick and Cake. I won’t lie, I haven’t really thought about Cake (the band not the delicious food) in about 15 years, but what the hell… they did have a few good ones.
Here’s a Cake song that my nephew really likes because he thinks it involves cars and he really likes cars. I don’t think he particularly cares for Cake (the band, not the delicious food) either way. He’s five.
