BooTown presents The Farmer and the Badger, this years version of our annual Halloween show. We are basing it off of a Japanese folkale of the same name, we make it up together, and it’s in a Montrose backyard. What more could we say to entice you?
Okay, here’s something else. The Farmer and the Badger director Emily Hynds has this to say :
“The fun part of these Halloween shows is that they are devised, so the actors and I are really invested in every aspect of the show’s creation, making it much more personal for us. The themes that I have chosen to play around with are pop culture, anime, and things literally and physically falling from the sky. If there is an issue we are having in our lives, it will absolutely make it into the play. It lets us explore things emotionally that are personally interesting to us, and I believe the audience can tell.”
So there.
Oh yea, the Thursday show costs a little more (only $15) but you get to par-tay with us after the show. The Friday show is pay-what-you-can.
Here’s the address:
1740 Harold
Houston, TX 77098
Hope to see you there!
